While reflecting on the journey, I realized that although it felt long at times, it actually turned out to be some of the greatest weeks of my life! I’ve attended meetings every Thursday, and for those 1.5 hours, I have learned new and wonderful things, and I have met some amazing people. I have witnessed first-hand what it means to put Service above Self.

In our industry, we are consistently asked about the meaning of brands and the process of branding. Is a brand a logo? Is it a slogan? Not necessarily. A brand is the identity of a product, service or organization, and people often feel one way or another toward a brand.

To say that the Burson-Marsteller/Facebook/Google fiasco last week is an embarrassment to the public relations profession is an understatement.
